- To attend to the morning Safety Toolbox, Talk and participate in the Safety discussions.
- Remove the wax from the pumps and dispose of the wax in the correct units.
- Ensure that the pipe racks are always clean.
- Remove the weeds in the unit that he is responsible for.
- Sweep his plant on a regular basis.
- Identify areas to be washed.
- Select the correct hoses and couplings and connect to a utility point.
- Inspect the hoses, couplings, and the lance before opening the valves.
- Communicate with the control room, before using hot condensate.
- Understand the dangers associated with the plant conditions.
- Do a full inspection on the HP machine by himself.
- Identify faulty equipment and report to his supervisor.
- Comply with all the PPE requirements and maintain his PPE in a good condition.
- Be willing to assist in other units if requested to do so.
- Clean and maintain the plant offices
- Ensure that the toilets always fully stocked with toilet paper/ hand towel.
- Fill the soap dispensers regularly.
- Wash and mop the floors.
- Spray all the door handles, taps, toilet handles, shower doors and the toilet seat with anti-bacterial disinfectant.
- Clean all the windows – ablution facility, cold room, and office
- Able to work in different disciplines.
- Always communicate with his supervisor.
- Report deviations and complete notifications.
Candidate Requirements/Experience
- Grade 12
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently for following instructions.
- Experience of working with basic hand and power tools will be an advantage.
- Medical fitness certificate
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Able to manage time effectively.
- Ability to work both alone and in a team.
- Awareness of health and safety procedures.
