Waitress/ Waiters

Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:
Ensure the restaurant’s preparation is thorough and stocks are full before opening and throughout their shifts
-Perform all ordering, serving and billing tasks accurately, accordingly to the restaurant’s standards
-Assist in the management of the well equipped kitchen, strictly adhering to all health and safety regulations, and reporting equipment breakages promptly
-Perform adhoc tasks professionally as requested by restaurant management, including room service, bar tenders and banqueting functions
-Prioritise all aspects of customer service
-Work as part of a team and individually to deliver high quality standards consistently and accurately.


Candidate Requirements/ Experience:

-Grade 12
-Good verbal and written skills in English, numeracy skills – all NQF level 4
-Computer skills and previous service and/or food preparation experience would be an advantage
-At least 2 years’ experience in similar role

Hotel Frontdesk Receptionist

Candidate Key Performance Outputs

  • Act as the face of the hotel, welcoming and assisting guests at the front desk.
  • Oversee booking systems and ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, resolve issues efficiently, and maintain guest satisfaction.

  • Interact with customers and to take orders
  • Collect payment and balance all receipts
  • Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming and dusting
  • To ensure a superior, friendly and personalised guest service and experience

  • Experience in handling Point of sale (POS) terminals and Stock & Inventory management software
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure

  • To understand how to operate all the equipment used in the outlet.
  • To fully understand and follow the hotel’s recycling program and procedures.
  • To actively participate in all health and safety procedures the entire hotel.

  • Carrying out any miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as requested by your manager pertaining to total quality service delivered in Restaurant.
  • Follows Hotel’s telephone etiquette standards.

  • Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment.
  • Previous service experience an asset.
  • Available to work night shift, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Previous point of sale system experience an asset, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
