Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:
- Providing day to day human resources administrative support
- Contributing to the long term development of the human resources function
- Providing human resource administration and clerical support to the business as part of a back office function, including all recruitment administration support for A and B Band appointments
- Ensuring reference and criminal record checks are carried out fully and in a timely manner
- Announcing new appointments
- Managing the new joiner process from offer letter through to joining instructions and induction
- Providing human resources support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining policies and procedures in a timely and effective manner
- Handling maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave processes and queries
- Handling health, safety and IOD processes and queries
- Administering the performance management system
- Entering data into the HR system so that accurate records are maintained
- Providing data for and preparing management information reports
- Liaising with payroll and distributing payslips
- Processing medical aid / fund entries and withdrawals
- Processing death and disability claim documents
- Capturing disciplinary records into SAP
- Administering the recording of absence and vacation leave
- Administering the probationary review periods
- Maintaining the personnel filing system and safeguarding the files and documentation
- Managing the leave administration process
- Providing support in investigations for disciplinary and grievance procedures
Candidate Requirements/ Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management
- At least 2 years experience in a similar environment
- Valid Code EB driver’s license
- Knowledge of HR principles and practices, employment and labour legislation, health and safety policies and procedures, etc.
