Candidate Key Performance Outputs

  • Conducting routine inspections and servicing of maintenance.
  • Implementing the preventative maintenance plan.
  • Work closely with the Team on various technical matters.
  • Provide progress updates to the Project Manager and/or Executive Management on a Weekly and Monthly basis.
  • Manage and liaise with the client.
  • Maintain the filing system of documents and plans.
  • Supervise workers and subcontractors.
  • Help project manager to plan work for Health and Safety purposes.
  • Check work is carried out safely.
  • Complete records for site reports.
  • Attend site briefings

 

Candidate Requirements/Experience

  • General occupational health and safety provisions
  • Hazard identification and risk assessment (Construction Regulation 9)
  • Development of risk assessments
  • Review of risk assessments
  • Administrative controls and the occupational health and safety file
  • The occupational health and safety file [Construction Regulation 7(1)(b)]
  • Notification of construction work (Construction Regulation 4)
  • Incident reporting and investigation
  • Reporting of accidents and incidents (Section 24 and General Administrative Regulation 8 of the OHS Act)
  • Housekeeping (Construction Regulation 27)
  • Public health and safety (Section 9 of the OHS Act)
  • General Personal and other protective equipment (Sections 8, 15 and 23 of the OHS Act
  • Occupational Hygiene in the workplace
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
