Hydraulic Fitter & Turner

Candidate Key Performance Outputs

  • Repair of a variety of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Operation of a conventional lathe and desktop milling machine
  • Calibration and quality assurance
  • General safety and housekeeping.
  • Scheduled inspections on CMMS generated tasks
  • Stock take, labelling, sorting and ordering
  • Occasional in plant measuring where it is not feasible to get an assembly into the workshop

 

Candidate Requirements/Experience

  • Qualified Fitter (& Turner) with a relevant N3 or Technical Matric.
  • Hydraulic knowledge will be an added advantage
  • Must be a good team player, be pro-active.
  • Must be flexible to adapt to short notice changes in daily workshop requirements as set by Team manager
  • Work at an acceptable tempo as to ensure throughput in workshop
  • Have knowledge of basic machine tools and equipment (if qualified fitter &turner)
  • Have good working knowledge of power tools and gas heating equipment

Electrical Draughtsman

Candidate Key Performance Outputs

  • Collaborate with engineers to develop accurate and efficient electrical layouts for high-voltage substations.
  • Revise and update existing drawings based on project specifications and feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and company procedures.
  • Maintain drawing records and project documentation, ensuring version control and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, and mechanical departments, to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input during project meetings.

 

Candidate Requirements/Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Draughtsman, with a strong focus on substation design and layout.
  • Advanced knowledge of MicroStation. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
  • High level of accuracy in preparing and reviewing technical drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Tipper operator

Candidate Key Performance Outputs

  • Safely operate a tipper truck to transport materials such as sand, gravel, asphalt, and debris to and from construction sites.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the truck is in safe operating condition.
  • Accurately follow delivery instructions and maintain delivery logs.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Properly operate the hydraulic tipping mechanism.
  • Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and leveling ground.
  • Perform general labor tasks, such as:
  • Assisting with material handling and organization.
  • Basic carpentry work, such as building temporary structures or formwork.
  • Assisting with concrete work.
  • Assisting with basic site maintenance.
  • Operate other construction equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on construction equipment and tools.
  • Assist with site maintenance, including fixing fences, repairing minor damages, and general upkeep.
  • Utilize general handy man skills to solve on site problems.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

 

Candidate Requirements/Experience

  • Matric
  • Code 10 Driver’s License
  • Clean driving record.
  • Proven experience operating tipper trucks in construction environments.
  • Solid understanding of construction site operations and safety procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of construction materials and methods.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Computer skills an advantage

Automotive Workshop Assistant

Candidate Key Performance Outputs

  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on vehicles, machinery, or equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
  • Support in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
