Candidate Key Performance Outputs

  • Observing reaction to medication, special diets and treatment plan.
  • Implementing health, safety and infection control standards.
  • Contribute towards accurate record keeping by recording and reporting any changes in patients’ physical condition and referral to medical practitioners.
  • Participate in health education or learning programmes for the patients, families, communication and staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient information documentation by adhering to the nursing process, keeping records of referrals and incident reporting.
  • Participate and attend in-service training, teaching of sub-ordinates and engage in CPD training.
  • Manage ward stock, accurate inventory and determine material needs
  • Supervise sub-ordinates, delegate responsibilities, maintaining discipline, orientate new employees and manage staff allocation in the unit.

 

Candidate Requirements/Experience

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • Current registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse
  • Relevant degree or diploma
  • 2 years’ experience
  • Be able to work under pressure
